Twelve year old climbers lost their lives in a quake this weekend in Malaysia.
I mourn for them.
Laid to Rest — Amen
Little soldiers set out to fight,
They are their parents’ pride.
They climb up and down,
On boulders, rough and brown,
The top performers by every right.
Earthquakes come, earthquakes go,
Another little soldiers taken,
Another dream shaken.
A matter of mankind learning perseverance?
The ultimate goal?
Do I hear mothers weep?
Do I feel sorrows seep?
Or,
Is it just silence that greets
The lives that Death keeps?
