The silence of images
and sounds scream an
emptiness onto the screen.

Flashes of light blind,
singed bodies that fall
to senseless sounds

in the vacuum of
unheard voices. How
will solace find its way

to the soul, retrieving itself
from the barrenness
of empty shells?
